The Language of Science and Business

The capacity to bridge the gap between scientific and commercial worlds is critical in biotech executive headhunting. Our consultants can analyse a candidate's technical proficiency as well as their strategic, commercial operational experience to determine whether a candidate is really a good fit for a particular company or not.

The Art of Talent Identification: Beyond the CV

To analyse potential leaders, we use a diverse strategy. Our consultants look beyond the resume to assess a candidate's professional trajectory, cultural fit, and working style. This comprehensive evaluation helps to ensure that the candidate is in sync with the organisation's beliefs and ambitions.

Proven Track Record and Industry Network

We are proud to have built up a large network of industry leaders through years of collaboration and successful placements. This network delivers unrivalled access to the biotech industry's best thinkers and proven achievers.

Startups vs. established corporations: navigating different needs

The biotech sector includes a wide range of organisations, from small startups to large multi-nationals. As an experienced team, we understand the unique needs of each, adjusting our approach to locate candidates who not only have the necessary skill set but also resonate with the company's growth plans and culture.

Global reach: overcoming geographic boundaries

With hybrid working patterns here to stay, the search for top-tier biotech executives increasingly transcends geographic borders. We use the knowledge of our international consultants who have experience of the German and French markets to help find talent from outside of the UK, providing organisations with access to a global pool of excellent candidates.

Facilitating Smooth Transitions

The hiring of a candidate is clearly a key step in the recruitment processes, but RMG recognises the longer-term impact of a smooth onboarding process. Consultants collaborate with both the organisation and the newly appointed employee to achieve a smooth transition, mitigating any potential issues during probationary periods where our extended relationships with both clients and candidates can bring insight and a feeling of reassurance to both parties.

Cultivating Long-Term Success

We continue to be committed in the success of our placements after the initial onboarding. Our team provide clear account management, serving as a resource for both the hirer and any internal recruitment teams as their needs evolver over time.

Building Lasting Relationships

A successful collaboration with us goes beyond a single placement. We seek to build long-term relationships with our clients, becoming valued advisors. We are immensely proud of the relationships we have built.

RMG started working with Proveca, a paediatric pharmaceutical business in 2016 when the company employed just three people. We have since helped them build their team across all technical functions and leadership levels and today Proveca employs in excess of 70 people across different locations.

RMG placed a number of department heads (in Quality, Project Management and Manufacturing & Supply) alongside other key functions, such as a Clinical Programme Manager.

APIS, a specialist AI-focussed diagnostics company, has been working with RMG since 2019. We have since supported the business to grow from 15 to 90 employees.

RMG has supported APIS extensively in strengthening their R&D function, placing a number of Senior Scientists as well as R&D leads into the department, as well as other senior leadership roles including a Head of Global Business Development and a Head of Marketing to support the company’s commercial growth.

Evolving with the Industry

The biotech industry is rapidly evolving. As a forward-thinking headhunting consultancy, we keep our finger on the pulse of the industry and are actively engaged in industry conferences such as LSI Europe as well as strong links with industry trade bodies and incubators.

Conclusion

The correct leadership is often the difference between mediocrity and breakthrough success in a dynamic and competitive biotech business. We are armed with deep insight into the industry, a specialist network, and a track record of having delivered hundreds of successful senior and specialist biotech roles. If you would like to find out more about how we can help your search, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and we look forward to speaking with you soon.
