Overview
Proveca Ltd is a specialist UK based pharmaceutical company developing and licensing off-patent medicines to improve the lives of children in Europe, many of whom have chronic conditions requiring long term drug treatment. The company was established in 2010 by, Dr Simon Bryson and Dr Helen Shaw, to bring licensed medicines to children throughout Europe.
Currently, 50-90% of the medicine’s children take are in the wrong format and/or are not licensed for their use. Proveca is leading the way in licensing children's medicines using the European regulatory framework, the Paediatric Use Marketing Authorisation (PUMA) process. The regulation was specifically designed to increase the number of off-patent medicines being developed and licensed for children.
The Role
Having tracked our client since their inception, RMG was first engaged in 2016 by Proveca. Our first brief was to recruit a Country Manager for their home market of UK, following the successful award from the European Medicines Agency of a PUMA for their first product.
Strategy & Outcome
RMG executed this search using our in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical space with the knowledge of what it takes to “sell” this kind of exciting opportunity where awareness of the company to key performers in the market was limited and, in many cases, non-existent.
The true success of RMG’s service lies not as much in the successful completion of the brief in hand, but moreover the return on investment our clients see from the appointed candidates.
Proveca and RMG’s partnership has flourished since 2016.
